  1. What are the 2024 challenge costs?

    Tour Packages

    This year there is a choice of 2 Hotels... The 4* Warwick Hotel or the 3* Edison Hotel in either a twin or single room.

    Warwick Hotel

    A 4 * star hotel based a stones throw away from Time Square and Broadway - in the heart of all the action!

    Our standard package for this Hotel is a 3 night stay, arriving on Friday 1 November - Monday 4 November, however, you have the option to extend your stay if you wish, just get in touch with the Events Team on 01483 741430.  

    Edison Hotel

    A 3 * star hotel based a stones throw away from Broadway and a short walk to Times Square - a lovely Art Deco Hotel close to it all! 

    Our standard package for this Hotel is a 4 night stay, arriving on Thursday 31 October - Monday 4 November, however you have the option to extend your stay if you wish, just get in touch with the Events Team on 01483 741430.

    If you would like to bring your friends and family to New York with you, please get in touch with the Events Team.

    Please Note: The cost of your package has been calculated in December 2023. Due to possible fluctuations in the exchange rate, please be aware that should this increase above 3% we will have to pass on this cost to you. This is out of our control and something we will try to avoid.

  2. How can I pay?

    There are 2 ways that you can pay for the TCS New York City Marathon with Walk the Walk:

    1. Pay in full when registering

    2. Pay the deposit followed by monthly instalments

  3. What's included?

    Hotel Accommodation in either a 3* or  4*Hotel 

    TCS New York City Marathon Race Entry

    3 course Pasta Party on Saturday evening

    Marathon Tactics Talk by the Walk the Walk Representative (minimum numbers permitting – This information is otherwise shared in an online meeting.)

    Walk the Walk support and love, from the time of booking every step of the way to the Finish Line!

  4. Not included

    • Flights to and from the USA and transfers
    • Personal Insurance policy that covers road walking and this type of challenge
    • Personal spending money for food and drink is not included in the itinerary
    • Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) $21 and lasts 2 years
    • There is also an option to take part in the 5K Abbotts Dash on Saturday morning, which can be booked separately with us (£30).
    • Overseas postage and packaging (Only applicable for participants registering from outside of the UK)

    At Walk the Walk if you raise £1,500 or more, to thank you for supporting us, we will refund some of your Tour costs...

    Minimum amount to be raised £750

    Raise £1,500 and WTW will refund £500

    Raise £1,850 and WTW will refund £615

    Raise £2,250 and WTW will refund £750

    Raise £2,550 and WTW will refund £850

    Raise £3,000 and WTW will refund £999

    Please note: the maximum amount that can be refunded to any Walker is the total paid by the Walker for their New York Marathon Packages, it will vary according to your room type and the number of nights you are booking for. The Tour refund, does not include the Walker Pack fee, tour deposit, booking fee, insurance, personal spending or other additional activities.

    If you would like to receive a refund of more than £1,000 this means that you will be classed as a Professional Fundraiser under the Charities Act 1992, Section 60. To receive this, you are required to complete a Professional Fundraising document within 14 days of applying/registering for this Challenge - please email the Event Team for further details.
