Fundraise online

Online fundraising is the simplest and most effective way to raise funds for Walk the Walk. We have partnered with Everyday Hero. Carry on reading to find out what to do next

Looking for your Online Fundraising Page?

If you had a fundraising page for the MoonWalk London or the MoonWalk Scotland, the page will close on November 30th as the fundraising platform, Everydayhero, will be closing then. You will be sent the link to a new fundraising page together with the total funds raised so that you can add to it as an offline donation. All your 2020 fundraising will be transferred unless you have requested otherwise. Walk the Walk have already received all your fundraising, thank you!

If you have entered one of our Unique Challenges or Virtual Events you can find your online page by following this link and entering your name.

Set up your page

You need to enter a challenge first. As part of your entry your fundraising page will be created for you! Make your page personal to you. Add a photograph and tell the world why you are taking part. Making your page personal really gets results. You are then ready to start sharing the link to your online fundraising page! It’s as simple as that.

Fundraising Pages

Before you enter a challenge you will need to decide if you are going to fundraise as part of a team. If this is the case, you will need to either create a team or join an existing team when you are registering for your event. This means you and your teammates will be walking and fundraising together and a team fundraising page will be created for you. The first person to register needs to create the team and will become the team leader.

Fundraising as a Team

You have a team and would like to fundraise together, but are unsure of where to start? We have made it easy for you! All you need to do is follow these four steps:

  1. Come up with a unique team name and choose a team leader. This is the hard bit.
  2. The lucky chosen leader will then need to register for one of our events (by clicking “create a new team and register” on the entry form) and just follow the instructions on the registration page.
  3. As part of the registration process for our event, the leader will have a team fundraising page created for them automatically in addition to their individual page.
  4. The team members can then register and will be asked for the team name. They will automatically be added to the team fundraising page once they have activated their own fundraising page.

Editing the Team Page

Please be aware that only the team leader can add a team photo to the Team Fundraising Page and edit the ‘Story’ section to tell supporters why you are all Walking the Walk. They can do this by clicking on “Edit this Team Page”.

Did you know?

Unlike the traditional methods of fundraising, we receive your online sponsorship money quickly. This means we can grant it to the places that need it quickly too! Not only that, but about 80% of donations made online are applicable for Gift Aid (compared to about only 30% made through sponsorship forms). As the basic rate of tax is 20%, this means that if you give £10 using Gift Aid, it’s worth £12.50 to the charity.
