Fundraise online

Online fundraising is the simplest and most effective way to raise funds for Walk the Walk. We have partnered with Everyday Hero. Carry on reading to find out what to do next

Looking for your 2019 Online Fundraising Page?

2020 - Set up your page

Step 1: you need to enter a challenge first. As part of your entry your fundraising page will be created for you! If you are not taking part in a challenge but would still like to fundraise please read below.

Step 2: Make your page personal to you! Add a photograph and tell the world why you are taking part.

In just two minutes you can have your online fundraising page ready to go! We have made the process as easy as possible. Once you’ve entered your details and uploaded a photo of yourself (making your page personal really gets results) you are ready to start sharing the link to your online fundraising page! It’s as simple as that.

Did you know?

Unlike the traditional methods of fundraising, we receive your online sponsorship money quickly. This means we can grant it to the places that need it quickly too! Not only that, but about 80% of donations made online are applicable for Gift Aid (compared to about only 30% made through sponsorship forms). As the basic rate of tax is 20%, this means that if you give £10 using Gift Aid, it’s worth £12.50 to the charity.

Fundraising as a Team

You have a team and you would like to fundraise together, but unsure of where to start? We made it easy for you! All you need to do is follow these four steps:

  1. Come up with a unique team name and choose a team leader (you will also need to agree on the same estimated finish time to make sure you are all in the same start on the night). This is the hard bit.
  2. The lucky chosen leader will then need to register for one of our events (by clicking “create a new team and register” on the form) and just follow the instructions on the registration page.
  3. As part of the registration process for our event, the leader will have a team fundraising page created for them automatically in addition to their individual page.
  4. The team members will be able to add the leader’s full name as team captain during their own registration and they will automatically be joined up to the team fundraising page once they finished their registration process. How cool is that?

Editing the Team Page

Please be aware that only the team leader can add a team photo to the Team Fundraising Page and edit the ‘Story’ section to tell supporters why you are all Walking the Walk. They can do this by clicking on “Edit this Team Page”.

Already have a page?
