John takes on three Walk the Walk Challenges in 2019
Between signing up for the L2B a friend was diagnosed with breast cancer so to support her I added the challenge of walking the Thames Path 100k

Hi my name is John Tyas I have currently walked one full MoonWalk London plus the 100k London to Brighton Ultra Challenge this year and will be walking the Thames Path Challenge 100k in September all for Walk the Walk.
I was inspired last year by my partner who walked the London Half Moon with a group of work colleagues. I was inspired by them and although I did not enter in 2018 took part in a couple of the training walks, at this point I was struggling with anything over 10k and was totally exhausted.
On the back of my partner doing the 2018 walk I decided I would do the full MoonWalk with her in 2019 so looked into what it entailed where I discovered the 100k Ultra Challenge from London to Brighton. Being a person who tends to throw themselves in at the deep end I thought it would be a good idea to sign up for the 100k London to Brighton and do the full moonwalk in 2019 which I did as Walk the Walk are an amazing organisation raising millions of pounds in aid of breast cancer. I thought I’ve got 12 months to train for this, so it’ll be a walk in the park.
Between signing up for the London to Brighton a friend was diagnosed with breast cancer so in order to support her I added the challenge of walking the Thames Path 100k to my fundraising this year (Thankfully she has been given the all clear now). So in aid of this amazing charity I have personally gone from couch to 100k. I completed the MoonWalk London in 10 hours and finished the London to Brighton in 28 and a half hours. I have currently raised £1,250 so far and am hoping to reach close to £2,000.
