Calling all students!
Want to do something fun and crazy this Student Volunteer Week?... Sign up now to Volunteer at a MoonWalk in London or Edinburgh!
Give up just a few hours of your time or a whole night's sleep, to unite against breast cancer, and stack up the hours towards honours such as the Duke of Edinburgh, Millennium Volunteers, Saltire Awards, vInspired Awards, as well as any local college, university or volunteer centre scheme not to mention how fantastic it looks on your CV!
We know this is a busy time with important exams but everyone needs time for a cocktail or two… so here’s ours!
Follow this list of ingredients you will need to make your MoonWalk Volunteer Cocktail... a cocktail that will last all night!
A shot of excitement
2 shots of fun
A dash of hugs
A splash of euphoria
An abundance of enthusiasm
Add a cocktail umbrella and Walk the Walk hi-vis T-shirt and Cap
Mix well with fellow volunteers and serve to 15,000 MoonWalkers in decorated bras!
No hangover… just millions of pounds for breast cancer causes!
Grab your friends and make this one exciting night… plus have a lot of fun with the run up to the big night... you can choose to fundraise if you wish, and get your whole campus on board!
Arrange a ‘Jailbreak’ – teams of students compete to get as far away from campus as possible without any money… this could get interesting! You pay to enter, offer a prize, plus teams can also get sponsorship… how far will you get?
Doesn’t everyone love a karaoke? You have the perfect place in the Student Union Bar… spice it up by theming it on walking songs, get permission to charge for song choices and rattle a bucket… you will be surprised what fun you have and how much you can make!
Will you manage to get the largest Volunteer team from a campus? You could have a whole team manning a water station, just one idea but there are many more options for the night… we can help you get the biggest team of students this year!
Everyone loves a competition right? So here goes… be in with a chance to win a Walk the Walk Hoody, black or pink, you choose… all you have to do is sign up this Student Volunteer Week and pop over to facebook and, like, share and comment
“I have signed up to Volunteer” or comment on our blog to have a chance to win!

Life affirming, humbling, fun, friendly - met some amazing people, both walkers and volunteers. Incredible organisation, Moonwalk staff should be incredibly proud of what they do - Ben
This was my first volunteering experience and was overwhelmed to speak to so many who had travelled from afar to spend the entire time in London doing numerous shifts to help! - Christine
