A Big Thank you to our Office Volunteers

To show our appreciation for our wonderful Office Volunteers and everything that they do, we here at Walk the Walk wanted to do something special in return to say thank you. So yesterday afternoon we threw an Office Volunteers Tea Party to do exactly that!

Staff baked cakes and scones, local business Lickety’s donated platters of delicious sandwiches, and of course there was plenty of tea in vintage china for all! 

Sarah from our Event Volunteers Team summed up the Thank You Tea Party perfectly, “Baking millionaires shortbread seemed like such a small gesture for the enormous contribution our Office Volunteers have given Walk the Walk…and it was a great excuse to catch up over tea and cake!”

Weekly Office Volunteer Carol says, “It was great to be able to spend time chatting to some of the other Volunteers, other members of the team and of course, eating delicious sandwiches and scrumptious cake! Does the new Channel 4 2017 ‘Bake Off’ beckon some of the guys and gals from WTW HQ I wonder?… thanks again for organising such a thoughtful afternoon”

Office Volunteers help us out so much at Walk the Walk, whether it be those who come in and help each week, or those that come in to help us on a less regular (but just as important!) job that needs doing. Each task that they do saves the charity money, enabling even more funds to go towards research and care for those with breast cancer
