    Friday 25th February 2022

Belt yourself in, this is the start of an action packed six days as you begin your Arctic adventure! You will meet your Walk the Walk Team at London, Heathrow Airport, where we will fly to Kiruna Airport in Swedish Lapland via a short stop in Stockholm.

Upon arrival at the Abisko Mountain Station, situated on the oldest Nature Reserve in Sweden, we will be greeted by our guides and relax with a hot drink and cake. Following this, we will have our Arctic Challenge briefing and talk through all the details, kit and the adventures of the next few days.

The evening will begin with an lovely 3 course meal at the Hotel followed by an exciting chairlift ride up the mountain to the Aurora Sky Station. Here you can take in all the views and hopefully, we will spot the famous Northern Lights!

Included: Hot drink and cake on arrival and dinner

    Saturday 26th February 2022

This morning, the Team will be fitted with ski boots, skis and poles. Once kitted out we will have a test run with the equipment and make sure it all works well and you feel comfortable... followed by our first backcountry ski session - a fun and exciting morning!

After lunch, the snowmobiles and sleds will be loaded and we will be setting off on the 3-hour journey to Alesjaure, our first basecamp and the start line of our challenge! It is an exhilarating experience being in this stunning snow covered wilderness! We will arrive at our mountain hut in time for afternoon tea. However, there are still jobs to be done and everybody can join in with fetching water from a hole in the lake, chopping wood and anything else that needs doing in preparation for the evening! Later we will have the chance to relax, chat, enjoy each other’s company and even have a sauna.

    Included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

    Sunday 27th February 2022 – Challenge Day 1

The big day is here! After breakfast, we will head out in small groups to begin the first half of our Challenge to Abiskojaure. It is expected to take from 6 – 8 hours, however, this is dependent on the weather, which ranges from clear crisp blue skies, temperatures of minus 30, to strong winds and snow gales! Either way... the landscape is breath-taking so make sure you take it all in and enjoy every moment!

Once we arrive at our second base camp, Abiskojaure Mountain Hut, it's time to relax, unwind and enjoy a candlelit dinner with your team!

    Included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

    Monday 28th February 2022 – Challenge Day 2

After breakfast, we will head off and conquer the second half of our Challenge and head back to Abisko and the Finish Line!

Once the Challenge is completed, we will have a celebration drink with our guides, then we will be whisking you away to begin a very different part of your adventure at the incredible IceHotel.

Tonight we will sleep in the warm accommodation and enjoy a meal in the very traditional and rustic Homestead Restaurant; this wooden abode was built in the 18th century as part of the next door church and village school.

    Included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Tonight the celebrations begin with a yummy pink cocktail in the Ice Bar, followed by a wonderful celebration meal where the Team will be awarded their medals!
