  3. Training Plan
  1. What sort of Training will I need to do?

You will receive a Training Plan that has been specifically created for this challenge in your Walker Pack. The Training Plan is intense as it has to prepare you for such a big challenge. We advise people to train either by Walking, taking on some other activity, or stretching, for 6 days a week. This will include plenty of Walks on consecutive days and also high mileage. We also advise that you do other activities such as swimming and Pilates to build core strength and stamina.

  2. What sort of support will I get leading up to the Big Day?

On the day, our Unique Challenges Team will be supporting you at the Check In, the Half Way and Finish Point, they will also be in touch in the lead up to your ultra-marathon. You will be included in regular Over The Moon Ultra challenge Update Emails, these will include training tips, nutritional advice, kit suggestions and Challenge Information - with the how, the what, the when and the where! At first these will come every few weeks, but closer to the challenge will become bi weekly.

Please use these Update Emails to ask questions, chat amongst the team, share experiences, advice and so on. More often than not, another member of the team may be thinking the same thing, so please ask us if you have any questions.

An official Over The Ultra Moon Facebook Group will be set up especially for this year’s team. Here you can get to know one another virtually before The Big Night!
