2. Distance Options

  1. 100km 'All the Way'
  2. Half Way
  3. 100km 2 Day
  1. 100km 'All the Way'

The big 100k 'All the Way' is highly recommended! This distance allows you to get the most out of this fantastic event and truly amazing route; seeing the dawn rise and the warmth of the sun on your skin after the night stage is an experience only the 100km 'All the Way' challenge can offer you. As you come towards the end of your journey, the Brighton Racecourse comes into view and you can smell the sea air... it can only be described as epic.

100km is a really special challenge, and in 2019 we had several challengers who came back and took on their 3rd, 4th and 5th London 2 Brighton Challenge! This year we are already hearing whispers of Walkers coming back for their 6th year! It is that good!

If the 100km is not for you, there are other options for you to choose from...

  2. Half Way

If you would like to opt for the Half Way options then Walk the Walk recommend the 56km route, which starts at Old Deer Park in Richmond, London, following the River Thames through a semi-urban stretch before the picturesque views of the Surrey and Sussex countryside; it is an ideal mixture of the challenge terrain, on and off road. Your challenge will finish at 56km when you arrive at Tulleys Farm.

You can also opt for a slightly shorter distance of 44km. This starts at Tulleys Farm and finishes in Brighton. This half of the route will see you cover cross country terrain, over Ditchling Beacon and the South Downs, onwards to the beautiful coast.

Please note that if you select this option the Walk the Walk Support Team will not be able to support you on the route.

  3. 100km 2 Day

You now have the option to take on the full 100km, but over two consecutive days! You will need to find your own accommodation. By selecting this challenge, you will be walking in daylight for most of the event but you will still get to experience this city to coast challenge (with overnight rest) with its picturesque scenery, urban stretches and finish at Brighton Racecourse.

Those taking on the 100km 2 Day Challenge will start in Old Deer Park, Richmond on Saturday 23rd May. You will Walk the first half of 56km to Tulleys Farm; then it will be time for some rest! Day 2 of your Challenge will commence at 6.00am on the Sunday 24h May and you will walk the final 44km to Brighton Racecourse.
