You Made It Possible – The Haven Buys A New Building!

Sometimes we all need a bit of motivation to go out training on a rainy day… I’m sure this will help! The Haven, one of Walk the Walk’s beneficiaries, has secured a beautiful grade II listed property in Titchfield, Hampshire, which will become The Haven’s fourth regional centre.

With Wessex having one of the highest rates of breast cancer in the UK, the new centre will provide vital one-to-one support for the nearly 3,000 breast cancer patients in the region. The Haven team works closely with NHS partners to go beyond medical treatment, to help Visitors (service users) and their families cope with the wider impact of breast cancer through one-to-one personalised, specialist care. The Haven, which uses professional staff, provides completely free services, incorporating everything from nutritional and financial advice, to counselling, exercise and complementary therapies.

Thanks to all your amazing fundraising and support, we were delighted to be able to grant the final amount of £70,000 they required to purchase this new centre! We can’t wait to see it open…
