Walk the Walk held another charity day at HQ in Woking…

It gave us a great insight into the world of research and emphasized once again just how important it is for all of us to do our bit and unite in our common goals!

Yesterday Walk the Walk held another charity day at HQ in Woking. Breast Cancer Now, one of our benefiting charities, were invited to speak about what they had achieved with WTW funds over the past 20 years, and to also share their vision of their future aim that, by 2050, everyone who develops either primary or secondary breast cancer will survive.

Walk the Walk have granted over £30 million pounds to Breast Cancer Now (following the amalgamation of Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Campaign) to support them in ground breaking research and whilst you may be familiar with studies such as The Generation Study and Breast Cancer Tissue Bank, you may be surprised to learn that Walk the Walk invested millions to help fund these projects . Find out more about them here

It was a really lovely afternoon, bringing together the two charities and our special guests. It gave us a great insight into the world of research and emphasized once again just how important it is for all of us to do our bit and unite in our common goals!

So… Another great reason to keep Walking the Walk, let’s keep making a difference, sign up for The MoonWalk London now! www.walkthewalk.org/Challenges/TheMoonWalkLondon
