Many people rush or even skip the 'stretching bit' but by committing to giving it time, you will quickly feel the benefits.

You should always do it on both sides to keep you balanced.

It increases blood flow to the parts of the body that need it most

And… if you feel that stretching might be a bit boring… dynamic stretching means you can stretch as you walk… so, after walking for 5 minutes and generally warming up, try circling your arms as you walk, alternating walking on tiptoe and then on your heels, forward stepping lunges, and any other stretching on the go!

Try joining a Pilates group, a wonderful companion to Power Walking, Yoga or ballet, will not only help you to become and stay supple, but they help with posture and the overall dynamics of a healthy body. Try it, once you commit and feel the benefits, you will not want to look back… and that too will become a good habit!
