To all our treasured Walk the Walk supporters,
To all those of you that have just found us, and to the many many that have formed the backbone of the Walk the Walk family for many years, it is with great sadness and a heavy heart, that I have to confirm, due to the Coronavirus, the MoonWalk London, the MoonWalk Scotland, and a number of our Unique Challenges will now not take place and will be postponed to future dates.
Although the Governments in England and Scotland have not banned large scale events, in the best interest of all we feel this is necessary. Lambeth Council, our friends on Holyrood and all our associated agencies and contractors are being incredibly helpful and supportive, but it will take time, so we ask for a little patience until we can get back to you with dates and information.
Over the coming weeks it will become increasingly important to keep as healthy as possible and to think creatively about how to keep fit albeit in small spaces. These are uncertain and confusing times for all of us, and easy to let panic take control, but it is human kindness that will get us through, so I ask you to bear a thought for all those working on the front line of the Coronavirus in our hospitals, and also our benefiting charities and those working with cancer patients, now, more than ever they need our support.
In the meantime we will be keeping in touch with you through our website and social media and would love to hear from you, it is a good time to share your thoughts, and any positive news and if you have any questions or just want a chat, just get in touch
Nina Barough CBE
Founder and Chief Executive of Walk the Walk Worldwide
Whilst we work through all of this, we thank you for your patience, and hope that some of your questions may be answered on our Frequently asked questions about postponed challenges blog.
