What brilliant support and a massive pink hug from the city of Edinburgh to all of you, whether you were Walking or Volunteering.
Many of Edinburgh’s iconic buildings lit up pink once again to support all our wonderful Walkers and Volunteers at The MoonWalk Scotland on 10th June.
Lloyds on the Mound, St Giles Cathedral, Jenners, House of Fraser, The Monument in St Andrew Square, Queen Victoria at The National Galleries, The Royal Yacht Britannia, The Balmoral Hotel, Camera Obscura, The Royal Society Edinburgh and The Radisson Blu all lit up pink in celebration of The MoonWalk Scotland. What brilliant support and a massive pink hug from the city of Edinburgh to all of you, whether you were Walking or Volunteering.
Not only were the buildings of Edinburgh glowing pink, our striking pink tartan MoonWalk Taxi was out on the streets and up on Arthur’s Seat, joining in with the pink celebrations. It’s not too late to watch out for the MoonWalk Taxi, so if you spot it... don’t forget to snap your unique photo and post it on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter tagging @CityCabsEdin using #moonwalktaxi… every unique picture shared raises £5.00 for this year's MoonWalk Scotland!
Well known Edinburgh department stores... Jenners and House of Fraser... caught a touch of jungle fever and gave many of you Jungle Safari inspired mini-makeovers, and they did a brilliant job as you all looked fantastic! Jenners went a step further by bringing a lush and leafy slice of the rain forest to one of their windows, as they proudly supported The MoonWalk Scotland once again. Walk the Walk mannequins peaked through the undergrowth as they flashed their bra t-shirts to passers-by!
Thank you to the wonderful people and buildings of Edinburgh for your continued support, we’ll see you again next year!
