After all the miles of training, give your feet a little extra care before The MoonWalk London. Remove any hard or rough skin, as this can cause friction and lead to blisters. Keep toenails short and neatly rounded, and if possible, treat yourself to a pedicure or visit a chiropodist. Blisters and dry, cracked skin can happen for all sorts of reasons, so it’s worth taking a few simple steps to help prevent and manage them:
Prepare in advance
If you’re prone to blisters, take preventative steps – use blister powder in your socks, apply a blister stick, or strap sensitive areas before you start.
Choose the right kit
Wear well-fitting, worn-in shoes and comfortable socks to help reduce friction.
Act early
At the first sign of irritation, apply a strip of Micropore to the area to reduce friction and help prevent a blister from forming.
Get support if needed
If discomfort continues or a blister develops, ask for help from Volunteers at a MoonWalk Service Station who can contact the medial team to have it properly dressed
