Walking Works of Art at the V&A Museum

For one night only!

Walking Works of Art, a living exhibition at the V&A Museum London, celebrated the unique creation of bras collected by Walk the Walk between 1996 – 2019. For one night only, the charity presented an exclusive viewing of diverse and wonderful creations that included bras by designer Julien Macdonald, girl band Little Mix, the Formula 1 racing team at McLaren, sculptor Michael Condron known for his War of the Worlds sculpture, as well as Designer Patrick McDowell and crime writer Val McDermid.

The Bra

The bra has become the synonymous trademark of Walk the Walk. Since 1996 when our story began, whilst our participants have always walked in bras, a wide variety of celebrities, authors, designers, politicians and personalities from all aspects of life have created and personalised bras to show their support for the charity. These treasures are lovingly collected, and it was with great pleasure that we were able to share just some of the creations on this special night.

The show could not go on without a cast of many donating their skills and time…

A huge thank you to Gaby Roslin for hosting this special evening, our Styling and Creative Director Karen Foster, along with assistants Becky, Lottie, Millie and Agnes. To our wonderful Models, Katie, Emmy, Elinor, Ivy, Ellie, Georgina, Floret, Alisha and Stefan from Models1, Tess Management and MOT Models.
