Scalp Coolers in Debenhams!
As our previous Scalp Cooler launch in Edinburgh was a great success getting lots of coverage in the media including television we wanted to do a similar thing this time by treating the amazing machines as “stars.”
If you or someone you know has any symptoms that might be linked to breast or other cancers, don’t wait, visit your doctor now!

Join Walk the Walk at Debenhams, on Moor Head, Sheffield at 10am on Wednesday 24th October
Just to let you know that next Wednesday Prem and I are having a very special day in Sheffield to celebrate the delivery of the last 3 of the 31 Scalp Coolers which Walk the Walk have granted to 5 hospitals in South Yorkshire.
We asked Debenhams if we could have the use of one of their windows and even though they have their own event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month they very kindly agreed. The 3 systems have been delivered and are already in the window today. Some extra Walk the Walk touches will be added including placards. The placards are because we feel that so few people realise that scalp coolers exist and we want them to have their say, so the wording on the placards include “ keep your hair on,” “Here today, hair tomorrow” “ keep your hair….. you are worth it!”

The first part of our press photo call will be on Wednesday at Debenhams when we collect the systems accompanied by 2 of the original Calendar Girls, they will leave the store on a pink carpet and get into a pink limo. We hope to attract quite a crowd and to have a hint of a demonstration by getting people to hold up the placards!
They will then be transported to The Weston Park Hospital and will be met by The Lord Mayor of Sheffield and lots of personnel from Weston Park and the other 4 hospitals allowing us a second press opportunity.
Fingers crossed we raise lots of awareness!!
Sally xx
