Important information about the MoonWalk Scotland 2020

The safety of our Walkers, Supporters, Volunteers and Staff is absolutely paramount and taking all the current circumstances into consideration, we feel that it is wiser to postpone the MoonWalk Scotland to 2021.

Following a great deal of patience and investigation into the possibilities of holding our MoonWalk Scotland 2020, we have very sadly come to the difficult conclusion that it cannot take place this year. Taking into account the necessary time required for training, the availability of accommodation and travel and not least of all holding an event that meets all of the government guidelines, as well as the demands of our walkers, it is just not feasible at this time.

We know that whilst you will be as disappointed as we are, you will understand our reasons for the decision... which will only make the coming together in the future, stronger and sweeter than ever!

What's next?... we will shortly be sending you an email including a number of options for you to choose from.

In the meantime, I want to share with you that the impact of this decision and the postponement of its sister event The MoonWalk London, means Walk the Walk will have lost millions... almost all of our annual fundraising and income from our 3 MoonWalks.

In case you were not aware, Walk the Walk are awarding Emergency Grants of up to £20,000 a month to help support frontline cancer charities throughout the rest of the year, so they can hopefully keep providing their much needed services.

The MoonWalk Scotland may not be taking place this year, but we need your support now more than ever. Nothing must stop us uniting together against breast and other cancers… cancer doesn’t stop and neither will we!

If you want to put your training to good use, or need a new challenge to keep on walking, then look here... why not join our Virtual SunWalk Festival... entries are open. It might be virtual but the FUN is real!

Thank you so much for your patience, loyalty and support in our fight against breast cancer, we couldn’t do it without you.

Until we hold our hands together again… Big virtual hugs to you from all at Walk the Walk.
