Dear xxxxx,

On Sunday 19th June, I completed The MoonWalk Iceland, organised by breast cancer charity Walk the Walk. I joined 60 women and men wearing decorated bras, taking on an overnight 26.2 mile marathon challenge around Lake Myvatn in the north east of Iceland.

At this time of year, it doesn’t get dark overnight in Iceland (the Land of the Midnight Sun), so we completed our challenge in daylight!

Write a paragraph here about :-

You (and your team) and why you’re walking/volunteering

Where you live

What distance you’re doing

It would be fantastic if you could feature my story! I’m attaching some photos from the MoonWalk Iceland.

Additional information about The MoonWalk Iceland 2022 and Walk the Walk:

  • The MoonWalk Iceland returned this year the first time since 2019

  • The marathon route is centred around Lake Myvatn in the north east of Iceland, with its stunning mirror-like reflections, volcanic scenery and lava rocks.
  • Distance: 26.2 miles

The MoonWalk Iceland was my third MoonWalk in five weeks, walking a total of 78.6 miles to raise money for breast and other cancers!

I walked the 26.2 mile Full Moon at The MoonWalk London on Saturday 14th May and also at The MoonWalk Scotland in Edinburgh on Saturday 11th June. By finishing these three marathons in quick succession, I conquered the “3 Land Challenge 2022”!
