Share your giving story. Everyone has a giving story… what’s yours?

This Giving Tuesday we want to hear your story! Let us, and others know why you are taking on a Walk the Walk challenge, or Volunteering at a MoonWalk!

Whether you are supporting a friend, know of someone diagnosed with breast cancer, or going through it yourself… what is your giving story?

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday arrived in the UK in 2014. Since then, the day has gone on to become one of Britain’s biggest days for charities, raising millions of pounds for good causes.

What is the #MyGivingStory campaign?

#MyGivingStory is a storytelling campaign that encourages people to share how and why they give, be that donating money, time, skills or goods.

These stories help demonstrate how easy it is to support your favourite cause, as well as highlighting all the different ways people can give. – givingtuesday.org.uk

How you can get involved...

This Giving Tuesday we want to hear your story! Let us, and others know why you are taking on a Walk the Walk challenge, or Volunteering at a MoonWalk… you may just inspire someone to share their story, or even sign up with you!

We love hearing from our Walk the Walkers...

"I take part in the MoonWalk London because I feel passionate about WTW and it’s aims. Since becoming part of the WTW family I have made many friends and really enjoy encouraging others to support this amazing charity." - Kim

"Why we keep volunteering; we have had family members who have had breast cancer and several friends.
We find the team at Walk the Walk welcoming and keep us well informed about how the money we raise is used for research and equipment which in turn encourages to return to volunteer again." - David

"I keep signing up for challenges because it keeps me motivated and fit . I only intended to do one Moonwalk, but now I’ve done four . It’s a bit like ‘Pringles ‘ once you pop you can’t stop!!" - Lorraine

"I feel very privileged to be able to walk marathons after fighting my way back to fitness from a debilitating illness. Supporting Walk the Walk by taking part in many challenges is my way of giving back. I feel so lucky to not only be able to take part, but to enjoy it! Plus I walk because there are so may who can’t & I carry them in my thoughts, memories and heart." - Lucy
