Monthly Donations to help breast cancer causes

Are you a great supporter of Walk the Walk? Want to do more or perhaps are now unable to join our Walking Challenges or Volunteer… or do all of the above and want to do even more on a regular basis.

Did you know?

As little as £10 a month can make a huge difference and all you need to do is give up three of your morning coffees a month. How fantastic is that?

To set up a monthly donation, all you need is your credit or debit card, a couple of minutes and you can start making a difference… just press the button below and choose monthly donation on the next page.

Unfortunately, you cannot use monthly donations to count towards your fundraising targets.

A little can do a lot!

£3 pays for tea for a day, so people can sit together in a centre and find strength in sharing their cancer experiences.

£10 can pay for 25 cryotubes used to freeze breast cancer cells so that they can be used to save cells for future experiments. These are essential and can save scientists time and money!

£20 is the cost of having someone there to pick up the phone and help a person sign up to start receiving free breast cancer support.

£50 pays for an hour of immediate advice and support for someone just diagnosed with cancer with a Cancer Support Specialist.

£100 gives 65 chances for scientists to learn the role genes play in the progression of breast cancer. Genes behave differently, in different cancers. This money would pay for what scientists need to accurately measure the activity of specific genes in 65 samples of cancer cells, that helps identify which genes breast cancer relies on. For example, to spread cancer through the body, so that we can stop that from happening in the future.

£300 pays for a Cancer Support Specialist to provide immediate advice and support for all visitors welcomed at a Centre each day.

“I have been taking part in Walk the Walk challenges for the past 10 years, walked many MoonWalks in London and Edinburgh and even volunteered a few times. I made some great friends through these events, including a few of the staff too – all lovely people! 

Unfortunately, I can’t take part in challenges anymore and I was looking for another way to carry on supporting this charity so close to my heart. I was delighted to hear that they can now take monthly donations.” (Carol)
