July Fundraising Ideas 2024

From the Euros to Wimbledon and everything in between, July has got plenty to keep you and your fundraising busy!

July is shaping up to be an exciting month filled with creativity, community, and fundraising! We’re thrilled to share with you a variety of themed ideas to help you reach your fundraising goals! With the Olympics starting towards the end of the month there's plenty of things to do to get you going and carry you into August. So whether you're an athlete, a trivia buff, or just love a good bake sale, there will be something for everyone. Join us in celebrating the Olympic spirit while raising money!

World Chess Day (20th July)

Chess is a game of strategy and one of the most ancient, intellectual, and cultural games, with a combination of sport, scientific thinking, and elements of art. If you love a good game of chess, take advantage of this special day to organise a tournament for your fellow chess buffs! Charge a fee to enter and provide refreshments, not forgetting the ever brilliant raffle!

Start of the summer Olympics (26th July to 11th August)

Why not host an opening ceremony evening!? Bring out the party snacks and organise a watch party for the Olympic opening ceremony! Sell tickets for an evening of snacks, drinks, fun, and maybe even host additional fundraising activities like raffles or silent auctions during the event.

Olympic-Themed Trivia Night

Organise a virtual or in-person trivia night focused on Olympic history, sports, and athletes. Participants pay an entry fee, and the winner could receive a prize. You can even have bonus rounds for additional donations or provide an additional, individual clue for a fee!

Olympic Bake Sale

Hold a bake sale with Olympic-themed treats such as gold medal cookies, torch cupcakes, and national flag cakes. Combine it with other activities like a mini-Olympics for kids or even a doggy Olympia for those furry friend’ enthusiasts out there!

Olympic Games Night

Host a games night with various Olympic-themed mini-games like ring toss (for the Olympic rings), mini hurdles, and shot put (using softballs). Charge an entry fee and offer small prizes. Make extra by providing refreshments, a raffle, tombola etc.

Harry Potter's Birthday (31st July)

Did you know that Harry Potter shares his birthday with author J.K. Rowling? No matter your age, you're never too old for the wonderful world of everyone's favourite wizard! It is a day when you can indulge in all things magical! So host a Harry Potter dress up party for the kids and even the grown-ups as well. With an entry fee and some fun prizes, everyone will want to get involved!

We have lots of FAB fundraising ideas which are updated monthly, as well as fundraising posters and much more! If we can help in any way, please do get in touch
