January Fundraising Ideas 2023
The mince pies have been eaten, the fizz has been popped, and Mr Claus is snoozing back at the North Pole, so the question is: What on earth do we do with ourselves now!?
If you or someone you know has any symptoms that might be linked to breast or other cancers, don’t wait, visit your doctor now!

Swap your January blues for some January ‘Woo’s’ with our wholesome fundraising ideas!
After the fun of the festive season, you could get your friends to sponsor you to give your body a break from the booze (and donate the money you save!) You might raise more than you think from giving up the drink! Not only will you feel healthier in yourself, but you will raise money in the process!
Everybody wants to start the year off by getting fit and healthy, so why not ask your loved ones if they will sponsor you whilst doing so?
Set yourself a goal of doing the Mad2, join a fitness class 3 times a week, or try being vegan for the month! It’s a great way to keep yourself accountable, plus you’ll feel amazing by the end of the month and have hopefully racked up a generous amount in donations.
We love our families and friends, but let’s be honest they don’t always get it spot on when it comes to gift giving (that bright yellow knitted jumper from Auntie Mabel spring to mind?)
So why not get together with your best pals and host a gift exchange? Everyone donates a set amount to take part, bring all your unwanted gifts and you can swap them for something you love instead! It’s a win-win!
If you can’t quite bring yourself to participate in dry January (and you know your Gouda from your Gruyère) then this could be the perfect evening for you, because on the 20th of Jan, it's National Cheese Lovers Day! Finish up that spare cheese from Christmas, supply the crackers, and ask your guests to bring a donation and a bottle of vino! The perfect way to have a cheap, cosy night in whilst fundraising!
Put that fundraising page to work!
A photo of you and the reason you’re taking part in the Challenge can increase your fundraising by as much as 70%! Share your page first by telling everyone what you’re up to and how they can help. Update your page regularly with details of your progress: new trainers; first training walks; your walking companions; the weather; furry friends you meet on your walks and share regularly by your social media of choice (or even just the family WhatsApp group!)
We can also provide you with your own personalised QR code which you can share, and it takes you directly to your page! If you would like one, please get in touch [email protected]
So, update and share, share, share!
Need a little TLC after the festive season? Dig out your favourite skincare, line up those nail polishes and host a pamper afternoon! You could even reach out to your local beauty salon and see if they would be interested in helping you out – after all, it's for a fantastic cause! Make sure to pay special attention to those feet, they’ve got a big few months ahead of them!
If you have a fundraising event or activity planned, take a look at our list of little extra to help you make the event a success.
If we can help in any way, please do get in touch!
