Car and Walking Treasure Hunt Fundraiser for Walk the Walk

Regular Walk the Walkers Roger and Jane, tell us how they recently went about organising this fun and imaginative summer fundraising event!

On Sunday 31st July, 2016 we held our first fundraising “Car and Walking Treasure Hunt”. The day was full of sunshine and we had 10 cars turn up comprising 40 participants, each person paid £5.00 to take part with children under 12 going free.

We produced a sheet of 30 clues for the teams to find over an 18 mile course by car.

This was followed up with a Walking Treasure Hunt around our local town of Midhurst and we also gave the teams 10 questions to answer on local news from the previous week. There was a time limit of 3 hours to complete the Treasure Hunt and we rounded the day off with a raffle and barbecue.

During our regular Training Walks we found places that were great to add to our Hunt, places you normally wouldn't notice while driving by in a car.

We were delighted with our fundraising total of £250 and had a really fun day too!
