Breast cancer charity September Fundraising Ideas

Got a garden full of fruit trees? Place a basket of fruit by your front gate inviting passers-by to help themselves. Place one of our pink collection pots (with a chain!) next to it and invite donations! You can rent a tub here.

It’s back to school and back to work... plan a few fun activities to welcome everyone, meeting old friends and making new!

Wear Pink to work or school!

Everyone loves the chance to wear something a bit different! You know the drill, everyone pays for the privilege of wearing pink for the day, and the ones who forget or don’t want to wear pink, pay twice as much! Be really wacky and make it fancy dress!

Raffle or Tombola

With people working from home these activities came to a grinding halt, but if you are now back in the workplace, putting together a raffle or tombola and selling tickets to your workmates is guaranteed to bring some fun back to work! You could get prizes by asking your friends or local businesses (you can get a letter of authorisation from [email protected]). Try having a theme to make it extra special!

Food glorious food!

If you’re a dab hand in the kitchen, the old favourites never disappoint! Whether it’s cake sales, hot soup or curry lunches, your colleagues will be keen to sample your goodies and make a donation to your fundraising page or tub. You can rent a tub here. Or get a QR code linked to your fundraising page by contacting [email protected].

Easyfundraising

If you ever do online shopping then this one’s for you. Register at easyfundraising.org.uk choosing Walk the Walk as your charity of choice. Then every time you shop online go through Easyfundraising’s website to reach the store of your choice. The retailers all make donations and you receive a cheque for Walk the Walk that can be added to your fundraising if you wish.

Start planning for the C word!

I know, Christmas in September? But actually, now’s the time to start making those Christmas crafts such as tree decorations, cards, crackers, table centres, Christmas cakes, decorated candles... anything that you enjoy making! Sell them at Christmas fairs or via Facebook Marketplace.

Amazon Smile

Use the Amazon Smile website every time you shop and Amazon will donate 0.5% for all eligible purchases at no cost to yourself! Log into the website here and choose Walk the Walk as your charity of choice. With Christmas approaching (sorry!) watch your donations creep up and make a difference to people with breast cancer!
