From our Fabulous MoonWalkers!

What an incredible night we all had at The MoonWalk Scotland 2018... don't take our word for it... see what our MoonWalkers had to say!

Another fab moonwalk! We absolutely loved every bit of it xx – Dani

Those feet deserved that medal!! So pleased I’m not aching or sore either ... proves good preparation beforehand & stretching after is the key to fully enjoying those 26.2 miles!! Well done to everyone - no matter the distance you achieved YOUR goal!! X – Andrea

A HUGE THANK YOU to all you amazing volunteers who kept us safe and encouraged us along our walk!! - Valerie

No tears this year but immense pride. Not only for my personal achievement for my second Moonwalk - completed one-hour faster than last year - but true friendship from my friend Stella Cox who took part with me. Many thanks to the kind residents who offered tea and toilet stops along the route, to the city of Edinburgh and to the volunteers and organisers. Above all, congratulations to every moonwalker regardless of age, distance or finish time. – Helen

It’s so emotional crossing that finish line, but so bloody rewarding. Well done to all xxx - Kerry

Our first moonwalk and we completed the full moon, was tough at points but thanks to the fantastic volunteers who kept everyone going! The homeowners and kids who were out providing water, tea, coffee, in their streets was a lovely touch. The wee energy boosts at milestones was most welcomed too. Thanks everyone for looking after every walker you all deserve medals xx - Cheryl

Another fabulous WTW event. So well organised and supported as usual. Thanks guys Xx - Paula

Thank you MoonWalk Scotland for a fantastic evening, my second half moonwalk. First one with two of my daughters. One of which had major spinal surgery 15 months ago. Felt so proud to cross the finish line with her, with both of them and friends. I will be returning in future with my youngest daughter when she’s old enough to do it. Xxx - Helen

Thanks for an awesome night - roll on next year! Xx - Jane

We raised over £2500 between us & walked in memory of my brave, fabulous sister who lost her battle to triple negative breast cancer in Feb this year. (Aged 50) My sister Helen had planned to do it with me, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Instead my wonderful friends stepped up, signed up, and supported me through it. Was a very emotional journey but so proud of completing it. Had so much support and met amazing people on route. Thank you everyone, you were all incredible! #teamflyblisters #marilynmonroe #walkthewalk - Kirstin

Last over the mooners to come in with 20 seconds to spare. Such a great event. Volunteers and supporters are amazing. Were honoured to have Nina and several other fantastic volunteers walk with us for the last few miles - Natalie

Amazing experience lots of amazing people achieving amazing goals - Stephanie

8th Full Moon for me and thoroughly enjoyed it as always (even with the aches and pains!!). Thanks to the volunteers and the people of Edinburgh who looked after us on the night with all their lovely sweet treats. - Lesley

It was a fabulous night/morning, can’t believe that ten years after my first full moon I did it in exactly the same time!!! Thank you so much to all the volunteers who cheered us on and encouraged us all the way - Wonderwoman and Supergirl had a ball!!! - Susie

Thank YOU for a wonderful event, and a massive congratulations to all the walkers. Your team and wonderful volunteers were amazing - so kind and encouraging. I’ll never forget my first MoonWalk! - Helen

I would like to say thank you, this was my 4th full Moonwalk having done London 3 times this was by far my favourite! The volunteers were amazing but the whole community spirit made it for me and all the Moonies On Hills team! Families handing out cakes, Sweets, sausage rolls etc. and the lady with her tea station and fairy lights on route. You have done Edinburgh proud. Thank you so much xxxx - Jenny

Thanks to all the volunteers, they definitely helped to keep me going! Xx - Jo

Must admit I cried when the lovely volunteers clapped us over the finish line. Well done to everyone who took part in some way from the volunteers to the walkers. Xx - Josie

I would also like to say a massive thank you and hats off to the volunteers! The only reason my sister and I managed to stay up all night was that we were busy walking 26 miles- they were standing there and yet had a brand new smile for every walker!! They must have said 'well done' few thousand times that night and each was genuine. Also amazing local residents handing out snacks and drinks- wonderful event! - Maja

Me and my 10-year-old - her first and definitely not last moonwalk! - Shona
