Make the most of what the season has to offer and check out some of our favourite autumn fundraising ideas below!

Autumn, wood and colourful leaves

Make raising money for Walk the Walk fun by doing something you love!

Autumn is here and with it comes thoughts of colourful autumn leaves, Halloween, Guy Fawkes and cosy evenings keeping warm!

Make the most of what the season has to offer and check out some of our favourite autumn fundraising ideas below!

National Curry Week
From 22nd to 28th October, mark the occasion by putting some spice in your life and inviting your friends around for a tasty Indian meal and some warm hospitality! You could ask your friends and guests for a donation towards your fundraising or you could charge a set price per head.

Make the evening extra special by offering a taxi service afterwards so they can fully enjoy themselves! So with this as an excuse to revel in the nation’s favourite dish… go on, celebrate the nation’s passion for curry as well as Fundraising… it will be second-to-naan!

Did you know?
The very first National Curry week was held in October in 1998 it was the vision of the late Peter Grove; sports journalist and food critic, to drive awareness and appreciation for the nation’s love of curry, whilst also raising funds for charity.

Barn Dance
Invite your friends, supply refreshments, charge an entrance fee... you could even hold a raffle on the night to bump up those donations! Dancing is obligatory... so pull on your dancing boots, grab your partner by the hand and get on down to the Hoedown… Yeehaa!

Halloween Party
Get your friends and family together for a 'spooktacular' party... Everybody loves to dress up for Halloween... so why not offer a prize for the most 'frightful' costume of the evening?

Trick or Treating
Instead of asking for sweets why not ask for donations instead? It's a perfect opportunity to explain face to face exactly why you’re fundraising and help spread the Walk the Walk message… who knows, you might even encourage someone else to take on an incredible challenge… it could be the start of a beautiful WTW friendship!

As Autumn is pumpkin season, why not get creative with friends and organise a Pumpkin Carving Competition… you could offer prizes for the scariest… most creative… or even make it WTW themed and ask people to carve their best bra! Another way to have fun and raise money at your Halloween party would be to have Apple Bobbing games. Get a bucket and float some apples in it, and ask your friends for a donation to have a go! Mark one or more of the apples to qualify for a small prize... perhaps a toffee apple... candyfloss or a warming glass of spiced punch.

Help your fundraising goal by asking your local grocery store for pumpkin, apples or even prize donations!

Scary Film Night!
Sit back on the sofa, put your feet up and turn your movie night into a fundraiser! A great laid-back way to fundraise... simply supply the drinks and popcorn, rent or buy a suitably scary movie... and ask your friends for a minimum donation to come and watch your spooky screening…

… or if scary films aren’t your thing… why not host an old fashioned ‘Slumber Party’? Invite friends over for a chilled night with hot chocolate, popcorn and perhaps a few party games… ask your friends for a minimum donation amount to attend and enjoy a relaxing night in!

Conker Tournament
Revisit your childhood by holding a conker tournament! Charge for entry and award a prize for the winner. For an added fundraising boost, hold a sweepstake to guess how long it takes the first conker to get destroyed... fundraise and enjoy some good old fashioned fun!

Soup Lunch Fundraiser
Cook up a large batch of soup and take it into work! Encourage those that normally pop out and buy lunch (and even those that don’t!) to save money and donate to a worthy cause – you could charge £2 per bowl - it's a win, win!

Treasure Hunt
This one doesn’t just have to be for children - it’s a great one for the young and the young at heart! Simply create some clues and charge your friends/family to hunt for the ‘treasure’ and let the fun unfold!

Leaf Clearing
Ask friends, family and neighbours if they need their gardens and pathways cleared of autumn leaves... in return for a donation to your fundraising of course! You could even add in mowing the lawn for a little extra to help boost your Fundraising!

Bonfire Night
Remember, remember the 5th of November... invite people round for fireworks and sparklers in the garden... charge for entry, serve jacket potatoes with chilli… which are super cheap and simple to do in bulk... then step back and watch the night go with a BANG! Boost your Fundraising by asking for a donation for sparklers!
