With just four weeks to go, cancer charity, Walk the Walk, is making a final call for anyone yet to sign up to The MoonWalk London 2026.
The charity’s flagship fundraising event takes place on the evening and night of Saturday 16th May 2026. Famous for its vibrant atmosphere, iconic decorated bras and brightly coloured bra t-shirts, The MoonWalk London offers women, men and young people a choice of walking challenges: 10K, 15.1 miles, or the full 26.2-mile overnight marathon.
Starting and finishing at Clapham Common, the routes pass some of London’s most iconic landmarks, many of which are illuminated pink for the occasion – including County Hall, the Sky Garden, BFI Southbank, Playhouse Theatre and PWC Embankment Place.
Those taking part raise much-needed funds and awareness for people affected by breast and other cancers, while supporting prevention, early diagnosis and healthier lifestyles.
The event falls during National Walking Month in May, making it the perfect way to mark the occasion by putting everyday steps to a good cause.
The UK’s National Walking Ambassador and Walk the Walk Founder Nina Barough CBE said:
Walking is the most simple, accessible, transformative form of exercise there is, and every step our supporters take is good for their own health, as well as bringing us closer to beating breast and other cancers.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never done anything like this before. The MoonWalk is an amazing experience, which stays with you for life; the atmosphere, the people, the sense of achievement when you cross that finish line. With four weeks to go, there is still time get walking, and I promise, you won’t regret it.
This year, Walk the Walk is proud to celebrate 30 years of making a difference. To mark this milestone, The MoonWalk London 2026 embraces a nostalgic nod to the Neon 90s — the decade the charity was founded. Walkers are encouraged to embrace the era with bold outfits, decorated bras, brightly coloured bra t-shirts and plenty of retro flair as they unite in support of people affected by cancer.
