We are Becki, Jen, Alex and Ursula and we are very privileged to work within the Walk the Walk Volunteers Team! You may have spotted a couple of us at a MoonWalk before… and here are we are again! With only a few weeks to go before we celebrate 30 years of Walk the Walk at The MoonWalk London, we thought we’d pop up here to say hi!
Hi! I’m Becki, the Volunteers Lead
Our Volunteers are real-life superheroes who swap capes for hi-vis yellow and orange t-shirts! Year after year our they show up with big hearts, endless patience, and that magical ability to make everything better just by being there. Whether they’re organising equipment in the Volunteer Hub, cheering on our Walkers across the route or racing on a bike to support someone in need, they bring warmth, laughter, and a spark of goodness wherever they go. It is an absolute privilege to work alongside them and I’m sure, like me, our Volunteers can’t wait to see what nods to the 90s, our Walkers bring to the MoonWalk London this year. This incredible decade was brilliantly simple and effortlessly cool… the last great era before everything went digital! Long afternoons playing Tetris on a Nintendo Game Boy, blasting Nirvana loud enough to annoy the neighbours, and copying the rebellious and iconic choker and crop-top looks straight out of Clueless. Simply legendary!

Hello! I’m Jen, Support Assistant and Volunteers Co-Ordinator
I’m passionate about helping people and really enjoy working as part of a team, collaborating with others to get things done and make a difference. Being part of the Volunteer Team has been such a rewarding experience. I’ve had the chance to meet some incredible people who give their time and energy to make this wonderful event happen. Supporting a charity that focuses on breast cancer, something close to my heart as it is for so many others, makes it even more special. It’s inspiring to see what we can achieve when we come together, and I feel lucky to be part of it all.
90s Favourites:

- Trend – Doc Martens have to be my favourite 90s trend — I absolutely love mine and will wear them at any opportunity… just maybe not for the MoonWalk!

Hello! I’m Alex, Co-Senior Volunteer Operations Support Manager
So much good work simply couldn’t happen without the incredible generosity and dedication of volunteers, and there’s nowhere this is more true than at Walk The Walk. Being part of the team behind the amazing MoonWalk London and working to bring the volunteer team together is a huge privilege and I’m continually inspired by the hundreds of kind people who lend their time to such an important cause. I can’t wait to see everyone descend on the volunteer tent this coming May!

Hello I’m Ursula, Volunteers Co-Ordinator
Volunteering has formed a fair amount of key experiences for me so I’m really excited to be working with Walk the Walk and their incredible team of volunteers, old and new, to continue creating something special. The time and dedication that the volunteers put in is invaluable to the cause. The hope is that our work can make each volunteers time with us joyful and worth while, whether that’s someone looking to meet new people or do something new, gain experience in events or here to support the amazing Walkers. Hope to see you out there!

Wishing our MoonWalkers all the very best with their training. We look forward to seeing you there!
