  • The final countdown is on to the last ever MoonWalk Scotland in Edinburgh, before it goes on tour to another city
  • In just one month, on Saturday 6th September, hundreds of women, men and young people will be preparing to take part in the iconic fundraiser, starting and finishing at Holyrood Park
  • The event is organised by cancer charity Walk the Walk. Over the last 19 years, 86,000 walkers have raised more than £22 million to support people across Scotland with breast and other cancers
  • A day of celebration kicks off with the 5K ZOOM Walk on the morning of Saturday 6th September – a perfect option, if you’ve ever wanted to do The MoonWalk but felt it was a step too far. The 5K ZOOM gives everyone, no matter their age or ability, the opportunity to be part of an incredible weekend of celebration
  • The MoonWalk Scotland follows on Saturday evening – Walkers wearing brightly decorated bras and bra t-shirts will paint the capital a huge array of colours, as they set off on a Full Moon (26.2 miles) or Half Moon (13.1 miles) overnight challenge.
  • The whole event will be made possible by hundreds of Volunteers, donating their time and their sleep for an incredible cause.

Walk the Walk Founder and Chief Executive Nina Barough CBE said:

Of course there is a sadness to be leaving the Scottish capital, but I am incredibly proud of all we have achieved and the huge legacy we leave behind. Thanks to funds raised by The MoonWalk Scotland, we’ve been able to make so many wonderful things happen. I’m so proud of every single one of our Walkers, as well as the thousands of Volunteers who have given up their time. I’d encourage everyone who has ever had the event on their bucket list to join us! The whole day is going to be such a massive celebration of the last 19 years. I’ll probably shed a tear or two, but I’m also very excited about what the future holds.

Be part of history and don’t miss out!
