  • On Saturday 17th May, Clapham Common was buzzing with excitement as hundreds of walkers of all ages came together to take on Walk the Walk’s vibrant 5K ZOOM Walk – raising vital funds and awareness for breast and other cancers.
  • Now in its second year, the 5K ZOOM Walk has quickly become a South London favourite – an uplifting start to an incredible day of fundraising and celebration ahead of the overnight MoonWalk London.
  • Families, first-time fundraisers, and walkers of all abilities joined the cause, with the 5K ZOOM Walk offering a fun, inclusive challenge as part of the build-up to the iconic overnight MoonWalk London later the same day.
  • Participants were treated to a buzzing festival atmosphere with music, entertainment, and a colourful, supportive environment all the way around Clapham Common.
  • The Langham London proudly supported the 5K ZOOM Walk, offering all participants the chance to win a luxurious one-night stay at the hotel as part of their 160th anniversary celebrations.
  • Walk the Walk, the cancer charity behind the legendary MoonWalk London, champions the incredible health benefits of walking, while funding cancer research and support.
  • Every step taken helps Walk the Walk continue its vital mission – raising awareness about the importance of lifestyle choices for better health, and funding much-needed research and support for those living with cancer.

Naomi Agyekum from Battersea completed the 5K ZOOM with a group of friends in memory of another friend Charlotte, who died from breast cancer last year.  After finishing, she said:

It was absolutely wonderful walking today in Charlotte’s memory and I loved the fact that I could take part in such a fun event so local to where I live. It was beautiful making our way through Clapham Common with hundreds of other people walking for same cause – we loved seeing the flowers and the children playing in the park as we walked. We’re planning to come back every year to do the 5K ZOOM.
