  • On Saturday 17 May, thousands of women and men wearing decorated bras or brightly coloured bra t-shirts set off overnight from Clapham Common. The walkers took on either a half or full marathon, walking through the streets of London to raise awareness and vital funds for people living with cancer.
  • Walk the Walk Ambassador and EastEnders actress Harriet Thorpe, completed the 15.1 miles Half Moon Plus with her Harriet’s Big Tits team, including EastEnders actors Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale) and Laura Doddington (Nicola Mitchell), as well as TV and radio presenter Gaby Roslin. Harriet said:

My fantastic team enjoyed the most wonderful, moving, inspirational night – loving this year’s “Musicals” theme, we sang West End musical songs the whole way round. It was also incredible seeing all the capital’s iconic buildings lit up pink to support and celebrate everyone taking part in The MoonWalk. Harriet’s BigTitsTeam were honoured to make a difference to so many people diagnosed with breast and other cancers, with every step we took!

  • The 27th MoonWalk London, organised by breast cancer charity Walk the Walk, has now raised in excess of £2 million!
  • MoonWalker Alec Wadey from Northamptonshire and his team of friends and family completed the 26.2 miles Full Moon in memory of his wife Claire who died from breast cancer in January. Saturday 17th May was his wedding anniversary. He added:-

Don’t underestimate the MoonWalk. It’s a tough but thoroughly rewarding experience. Walking along and chatting to complete strangers about how they’ve been affected by cancer really spurs you on and my wife would’ve been so proud of our entire team. Thank you to everyone who organised and supported.

  • The MoonWalkers in the capital were joined by people completing their challenges virtually across the country.
  • Walk the Walk specialises in all types of walking challenges. Earlier in the day hundreds of walkers of all ages arrived at The MoonWalk Arena at Clapham Common to take part in The 5K ZOOM Walk, back for a second year as a fun alternative challenge for all ages and abilities.
