Walk the Walk was thrilled to be part of a wonderful gathering in Westminster last week, organised by the organisation #OneCancerVoice.
Representatives from 60 UK cancer charities, including Lauren, Olivia and Jen from the Walk the Walk team, met in the shadow of the Houses of Parliament.
The coalition of charities in uniting to urge the UK Government to deliver a bold, fully funded National Cancer Plan for England to save and improve more people’s lives.
New projections suggest that between now and 2040, there will be around 6.3 million new cancer cases in England. Each cancer type is a different piece of that puzzle – it’s predicted that there will be 906,000 new cases of breast cancer.
Cancer services are already struggling to keep up with demand, that’s why Walk the Walk is joining #OneCancer voice in calling for the National Cancer Plan to deliver change for people affected by cancer now and in the future.
