Are you already a MoonWalker? Are you thinking about stepping up to a multi-day walking challenge, but haven’t quite taken the plunge? Here are five reasons to sign up for Walk the Walk’s incredible Camino 100 challenge in late September!
You’ll walk 100 miles from Mount O’Cebreiro to Santiago de Compostela in Spain over five days, double the typical Camino distance over the same period.
1. Challenging yourself!
“Only five months before my Camino 100 challenge, I sat in the breast cancer unit. Tears slowly rolled down my cheeks, as I had just been given the all-clear, after discovering a lump and undergoing surgery. Not only did I now want to take time for ME to be ME again, I wanted to do something new. Twenty years after my first MoonWalk, I wanted to find a special challenge and if I could raise money and awareness of breast cancer too, it would be a huge bonus.”

2. The Camino magic
“From the start, the Camino had us spellbound. One day we’d be surrounded by eucalyptus trees, the air filled with birdsong, enjoying pure tranquility. The next day, we’d find ourselves in bustling villages, meeting other pilgrims, and savouring fresh Spanish pastries and coffee at roadside cafes. The changing scenes made every day feel fresh and new.”

3. Walking the Camino as a group
“I feel privileged to have shared many special moments along the way with such wonderful, warm-spirited people. The support and encouragement which everyone gave each other when the going got tough, as well as the celebrations at the end of each exhausting day, were really appreciated. The collective feeling of accomplishment and pride felt by everyone when we walked together into Santiago and hugged and laughed in front of the Cathedral with our completed Camino passports is something I will treasure for a very long time!”
Michele
4. The special support from Walk the Walk
“I’m currently in training for the Camino 100 2025. I know that Walk the Walk’s organisation will make walking the Camino much less stressful, with all our accommodation arranged and our own Guide on the route. This ticked a lot of boxes for me. Having taken part in The MoonWalk London previously, I know that Walk the Walk will do their utmost to support me on the Camino – I have complete faith in them.”

5. The Journey of a lifetime
“My Camino 100 journey will remain with me forever – it was such a wonderful week with the most amazing memories. Thank you to my Camino 100 family and to all the Walk the Walk Team.”
