Jenners, House of Fraser bra designed for Nina Barough CBE

Jenners, House of Fraser have thrown their support behind this year’s MoonWalk Scotland by designing a special movie-themed bra for this year’s Hollywood to Holyrood themed event.

The spectacular design features a film reel, film strips, and an array of brightly coloured Hollywood stars. The bra is the trademark of grant-making charity, Walk the Walk, and Jenners have exclusively created this unique design for the organisations Founder and Chief Executive, Nina Barough CBE. Nina will showcase the glamorous bra as she takes to the stage at The MoonWalk Scotland, this weekend (Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June).

Making its way to the VIP press area at the event, the Jenners, House of Fraser bra will be exhibited alongside five other one-of-a-kind designer bras; a Formula 1 bra by McLaren, an HG Wells’ War of the Worlds bra by Michael Condron, Avabra created by the costume department at Wicked The Musical, a Hollywood inspired bra created by Rigby and Peller, and a BAFTA bra created by Oscar winning Costume Designer, Sandy Powell OBE.

Setting off from Holyrood Park, Edinburgh at Midnight, women and men wearing brightly decorated bras will take on one of four walking challenges; The New Moon (6.55 miles), Half Moon (13.1 miles), Full Moon (26.2 miles) or Over The Moon (52.4 miles). The event raises money and awareness to help fight breast cancer.

Jenners are also supporting Walk the Walk with a special window display and by offering mini makeovers for MoonWalk participants this Saturday.

Walk the Walk’s Founder and Chief Executive Nina Barough CBE said: “For the past few years Jenner’s have very generously decorated a bra for me, so it is now with great anticipation and excitement that I wait to see their creation, and my goodness it never disappoints. Jenners, House of Fraser, have done it again, and as always, above and beyond my expectations.

Their imagination and creativity is exceptional and I am incredibly grateful for the all thought and effort, the designs have been stunning.”

After all, it is these iconic bras worn by our walkers that are the symbol of Walk the Walk and The MoonWalk and the reason that as a charity we have raised over £125 million.”

More than 80,000 walkers have taken part in The MoonWalk Scotland since the event started in 1996, and so far, more than £20.5 million has been raised to improve the lives of those living with cancer in the country.

The MoonWalk Scotland 2018 is on Saturday 9 June. To find out more, or to sign up as a volunteer visit walkthewalk.org
