The defiance of a decorated bra

At Walk the Walk, we’ve always known that a bra is never just a bra. When it’s covered in sequins, feathers, and crystals, it becomes a suit of armour.

It takes a special kind of strength to face the darkest times with a touch of glamour. We see it every year on the start line, men and women who refuse to let a diagnosis dim their light. This week, we are reflecting on that incredible spirit: the quiet determination that chooses joy, even when the road is long.

Walk the Walk Moonwalk 2026

Grit wrapped in glitter

Our community is built on a unique foundation of ‘grit and glitter’.

  • The grit: The 26.2 miles, the midnight starts, the months of training, and the unwavering commitment to a world without cancer.
  • The glitter: The laughter, the camaraderie, and the bold, beautiful defiance of dressing up to make a statement.

It’s this combination that has allowed us to raise over £146 million for vital research and care. Every sequin sewn is a tribute to someone’s courage. Every mile walked is a step toward a future where survival is the only option.

An invitation to shine

We know that many of you walk with a specific person in your heart. Sometimes, the best way to honour a legacy of strength is simply to keep moving.

If you’ve been waiting for a reason to join us, let this be it. We aren’t just looking for 10K, Half or Full Marathon Walkers; we’re looking for those who believe in the power of community, the magic of the moonlight, and the importance of never giving up.

Find your challenge for 2026 here. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, there is a place for your sparkle on our start line.

The closing: a sisterhood and brotherhood like nother

You might start the walk as an individual, but you finish it as part of a movement. We walk for those who can’t, we walk for those who did, and we walk for each other.

Let’s keep the sparkle alive. Together, we are making a difference, one glamorous step at a time.

For the sparkle. For the cure.
