Every year, throughout the first week of June, we celebrate Volunteers’ Week, a time to recognise the incredible contributions of Volunteers across the UK.

Here at Walk the Walk we are honoured to welcome Volunteers from all over the country who dedicate their time and skills to support our collective cause. We really could not be more grateful.

Whether it’s our weekly team of superstars who come into our office to support us with an array of tasks, or the thousands of Volunteers who, year in and year out, step into the spotlight to support us, and our Walkers, at one of our MoonWalk events. What the past three decades has taught us, is that those who Volunteer their time to support any cause, are simply priceless.

We know first-hand that Volunteers bring heart, hope and energy… often the unsung heroes behind many essential services, community projects and acts of kindness. From mentor and companionship schemes, delivering meals, supporting local causes or caring for our environment, Volunteers Week reminds us just how much of an impact individuals have, when they choose to give their time and skills to others.

…And we know, Volunteering isn’t always easy. The time, the energy and care may not always be seen or celebrated. It takes patience, resilience and sometimes, just plain showing up! But that’s what makes it so powerful and what makes your contribution so deeply appreciated… not just by us at Walk the Walk, but everyone involved in our cause, whatever they may be facing.

Volunteers simply help to keep us connected, our events running and people supported. That matters. You matter. We see what you do so Thank You from the bottom of our hearts for being part of our Walk the Walk family. You are incredible!

With love from
Becki, Emma & Lauren
