  1. The Ultimate Team Challenge

The Nijmegen Marches is a Team Challenge like no other, from start to finish and all the miles in-between, we will be starting, walking and finishing together. It is an incredible journey and a wonderful experience to share together, the laughs, the games and trying to out-sing the big military teams.

You will make new and old Walk the Walk friends, supporting each other, marching and singing to our heart's content. We are required to dress as a team in our ‘uniform’ which of course, is our famous bra t-shirts with dark bottoms.

Walk the Walk have entered a Walking Team into the Marches for over 8 years, and are famous for our t-shirts and are known as 'the bra team'... they've come to know and recognise us!

  2. How to Join

    How to Join!

  3. Rules and Regulations

    Nijmegen Marches Rules and Regulations

The Nijmegen Marches is a 3rd party event run by De 4Daagse.

The rules and regulations of how to enter this challenge will be released to the public in January 2024.

Only once these have been released will Walk the Walk be able to confirm your place on this challenge.

If upon the release of De 4Daagse's Terms and Conditions your registration does not fall inline with the 2024 event restrictions and your ability to take part in this challenge with Walk the Walk is impacted, you will be offered a full refund.

    Age Restrictions

    • Females of 18+ years can join the team
    • Men have to be over the age of 50 (born in 1974 or earlier).

Due to the very strict organisers Rules and Regulations, females of 18+ can join the Walk the Walk Civilian Marching Team, however, males have a strict birth date criteria to join the 40K Team; any male born in 1974 or before, can join the 40K Team.

If you are male and born from 1974 to 2006, unfortunately, because of your age, you are unable to join our 40K Civilian Marching Team. If this applies to you, please email us for more information on your options to join the Marches.

    Minimum Numbers

There is a minimum number requirement of 11 Walkers for us to take part as a Civilian Marching Team.

    Team Challenge Commitment

Conquering the Nijmegen Marches is not for the faint-hearted and will require a huge commitment, both to training and walking as part of a Team at the event itself. It is really important to understand that we start as a Team, walk as a Team, and finish as a Team! This is a Team challenge and this is stated in the Rules and Regulations of the Nijmegen Marches, of which they are very strict!

The Team as a whole will be 'checked in' at the Start Line, and at intervals throughout the Marches - planned and unplanned points - and at the Finish Line! The Team must walk together throughout.

Training is essential to complete The Nijmegen Marches and by signing up to our Walk the Walk team you are not just committing to taking part and raising money, but to the training, and to meeting our Team finishing time of 8 hours for 40km every day.

Other Rules & Regulations to be noted:

    • All the Team must wear the same outfit throughout the 4Day Marches, bra t-shirts of course, with dark bottoms
    • Females must be aged 18+
    • Males must be aged 50+, born before 1974
    • As stated the Team must start, walk and finish together.

Read our blog here to find out what it’s like to take part as a Civilian Marching Team.
