1. What are the challenge costs?

   Tour Package

   **Please note, all details below refer to the 2024 event.**

   This year the Team will be staying at Center Parcs Het Heijderbos for 5 nights from Monday 14 July - Saturday 20 July 2024 (please arrive at the Hotel by midday on Monday) as part of a package deal!

   Day 1 of The Nijmegen Marches starts on Tuesday 15 July and the Challenge will finish on Friday 19 July 2024! 

   You have a choice of staying in a Single or Twin Room.

   Deposit (payable on registration and non refundable)

   Tour Deposit: £350

   Welcome Walker Pack Fee: £40

   TOTAL: £390.00

   Please Note: The cost of your package has been calculated in December 2023. Due to possible fluctuations in the exchange rate please be aware that should this increase above 3% we will have to pass on this cost to you. This is out of our control and something we will try to avoid.

2. Included?

   5 nights' Hotel Accommodation at Center Parcs Het Heijderbos (including city tax and service charge) (15th - 20th July 2024)
   

   4 x Breakfast in VIP Tent at De Wedren (16th -19th July 2024)

3. How can i pay?

   There are 2 ways that you can pay for the Nijmegen Marches Challenge:

   1. Pay in full when registering

   2. Pay the deposit of £390 followed by monthly instalments on the 3rd of each month. The Monthly Instalments are to be paid via GoCardless, our Direct Debit system... the Events Team will be in touch with you after your registration with more information.

   

4. Not included

   • Flights / Travel to the Netherlands
   • Transfers from the airport to and from the Hotel
   • Optional massages each night after the Marches - (2024 Price Coming Soon...) - well worth it!
   • Travel around Nijmegen outside of the itinerary
   • Personal spending money for drinks, snacks or souvenirs
   • Specialist trekking equipment and clothing
   • Travel Insurance - please ensure that it covers you for this type of event
   • Overseas postage for non UK residents: £20.00
   • Additional Event Technical T-Shirts: £20.00
   • 2 hour 'drinks package' for the Celebration evening meal on Friday 19th July 2024
   • Lunch - Monday 15th & Saturday 20th July 2024

5. Money Back Scheme!

   At Walk the Walk, if you raise £1,500 or more, to thank you for supporting us, we will refund you some of your Tour costs...

   Minimum amount to be raised £850

   • Raise £1,500 & Walk the Walk will refund £500
   • Raise £1,800 & Walk the Walk will refund £600
   • Raise £2,250 & Walk the Walk will refund £750
   • Raise £2,550 & Walk the Walk will refund £850*
   • Raise £3,000 & Walk the Walk will refund £999
   • Raise £3,500 & Walk the Walk will refund £1,150**

   * Max Twin Room refund

   ** Max Single Room refund

   Please note: the maximum amount that can be refunded to any Walker is the total paid by the Walker for their Nijmegen Marches Package, it will vary according to your room type. The Tour refund, does not include the Walker Pack fee, tour deposit, booking fee, race entry, insurance, personal spending or other additional activities.

   If you would like to receive a refund of more than £1,000 this means that you will be classed as a Professional Fundraiser under the Charities Act 1992, Section 60. To receive this, you are required to complete a Professional Fundraising document within 14 days of applying/registering for this Challenge - please email the Event Team for further details.
