  1. Do's and Don'ts

    Can I fundraise for another at the MoonWalk?

    No, by registering for the MoonWalk you have agreed to raise funds for Walk the Walk only. We can achieve so much more by uniting together against cancer, and the charity then grants funds to where we know it can make a real difference.

    It is illegal to donate money raised for the MoonWalk to another charity.

    Can I use any of my fundraising to pay for my travel expenses to the event?

    No, you cannot use your fundraising for any expenses or costs, in fact, it is illegal.

    Do I have to have raised all my fundraising before the event?

    No, but the sooner you start the more you can hope to raise. It helps us if we can receive your sponsorship within 8 weeks of completing your challenge, but if you find it is taking longer please don’t worry about sending what you can now and the rest later – we will never turn money away.

    How can I pay in cash and cheque sponsorship?

    It is best to pay any cash money you do raise, straight onto your fundraising page as soon as you receive it, but please be aware you cannot gift aid it.

    If it is a cheque, please send it to our Woking office with your name and address written on the back of the cheque. Cheques do go out of date so please send them to us when you receive them.

    In either event, we would appreciate you sending us your sponsor form with the full details of your sponsors filled in so that we are able to claim Gift Aid which adds another 25p in the £ to your fundraising provided your sponsor is a UK taxpayer!

    Can I have a paper sponsor form?

    You will be emailed a link so that you can download a sponsor form. You can download one here!

  2. How much sponsorship do I have to raise?

    200 - We ask that everyone who enters The MoonWalk commits to raising a minimum of £200.

    £200.00 is a very achievable amount of money to raise and can make a real difference to the lives of people living with breast and other cancers.

    Raising awareness by taking part in the MoonWalk, and raising precious funds are both really important at this time and we thank you for all your support!

    Here are just a few ways to help you reach that magical number!

    • Share your online page with friends and family. Make the most of it by following our handy hints.
    • Exchange your time for donations e.g. walking your neighbour’s dog, washing cars.
    • Make something that you can sell, or sell your once loved things at a car boot sale or on Ebay.
    • Give something up for sponsorship! Go without your favourite treats for a month. Chocolate, alcohol, cake? Can you manage it?
    • And finally… who doesn’t love cake? Have a bake sale at work or school!

  3. I have yet to collect all my sponsorship for the last MoonWalk, can I enter?

    If you have previously taken part in The MoonWalk London but have not yet sent in all, or any of your fundraising, we would encourage you to send in your sponsorship as soon as possible. All our fundraising is important, and more so than ever before, so we will be getting in touch with anyone where our records show we have not received any fundraising.

    However, in the meantime, you can enter the MoonWalk London 2025 and we will be in touch.

  4. How to add an offline donation!

    If you have received money offline you can pay it onto your page directly, adding your donors name. Making sure not to add gift aid as the donation was not from you, you can then send a sponsor form so we can claim the gift aid matching up to your donation on your page. Alternatively, when you are logged into your page you will be able to see the option ‘+ an offline donation’, where you can add the amount and the name of your donor, you will then need to send the donation to us making sure it is payable to Walk the Walk Worldwide to our office address Walk the Walk 6 Genesis Business Park, Albert Drive, Woking, GU21 5RW.     MoonWalk London 2025 Fundraising Competition

    Terms and Conditions

    1. Eligibility

    • The competition is open to all registered participants of the MoonWalk London 2025 event.
    • Participants must have an active Give Star fundraising page linked to Walk the Walk.

    2. Competition Overview

    • There are two separate competitions running side by side.
    • Competition 1: To qualify for the Bumbag prize, participants must raise a minimum of £100 on their fundraising page by the competition deadline (11th December 2024).
    • For every additional £100 raised over the initial £100, participants will receive one extra entry into the prize draw.
    • Competition 2: To qualify for the Walk the Walk Hoody prize, participants must raise a minimum of £200 on their fundraising page by the competition deadline.
    • For every additional £200 raised over the initial £200, participants will receive one extra entry into the prize draw.

    3. Competition Period

    • The competition runs from 17th October to 11th December 2024.
    • All donations made before this period will count towards the initial fundraising minimum for eligibility, and any additional funds raised before or during the competition will qualify for extra entries.

    4. Fundraising and Prize Entries

    • All donations over £100 on your fundraising page will qualify for an entry into Competition 1.
    • All donations over £200 will qualify for an entry into Competition 2.
    • Fundraising must be through the official Give Star fundraising page.
    • Offline donations, including cheques sent to the office, will not be counted toward the final fundraising total for this competition.
    • For team fundraising:  Team members should fundraise on their own page as this is an individual’s competition, however, any funds raised on the team page will be attributed to the team captain.

    5. Prize Draw

    • The prize draw will take place on 12th December 2024.
    • Winners will be selected at random and notified by email or phone by Friday 13th December.
    • Once winners are notified, they will have 7 days to confirm their address and hoodie size (for Competition 2). If we do not receive this information within 7 days, the prize will be awarded to the next drawn entrant in the New Year..
    • Walk the Walk will aim to get the prizes dispatched before Christmas but cannot guarantee they will arrive before Christmas.

    6. Prizes

    • Competition 1: 10 bum bags will be given away.
    • Competition 2: 10 Walk the Walk hoodies will be given away. Participants can choose between a black or grey hoodie; however, XL size is only available in grey.
    • Prizes will be dispatched to a UK address only.
    • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

    7. General Terms

    • Walk the Walk reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
    • By participating in the competition, entrants agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
    • Walk the Walk reserves the right to disqualify any participant who fails to comply with the rules.
    • By entering the competition, participants consent to the use of their names and fundraising totals for promotional purposes related to the competition.
    • Walk the Walk reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
