Take on the Big Half in its 1st year!

The Big Half is a brand new Half Marathon Challenge in our very own Capital City... and great training for our very own MoonWalk London.

Taking place on Sunday 4th March and starting at Tower Bridge, the 13.1 miles course is on closed roads and passes some of our Capital City’s iconic landmarks. From the organisers of the Virgin London Marathon, this Half Marathon celebrates London and its multi-cultural diversity within its communities. The route follows much of the famous London Marathon course in reverse and passes through the boroughs of Southwark, Lewisham, Tower Hamlets and finally onto Greenwich and the Finish Line at the Cutty Sark.

This Half Marathon is the perfect challenge to kick start 2018; begin the year with a training bang! Or use it as training for a Marathon later on in the year... and to aim for that special medal and of course, raise money and unite with us against breast cancer!

The stage is set for a Big Half...

With global running superstars and a wheelchair race, you’ll take part alongside 15,000 others. This will become a prestigious Challenge, so be part of it and join Walk the Walk at the inaugural 2018 event. 

Alongside The Big Half Marathon, will be The Big Festival, a celebration of London’s diversity and communities hosted in The Royal Park at Greenwich celebrating health, well being, nutrition and local music; a great place to celebrate your achievements! 



Is the Big Half for you?

Half by name, big by nature! Are you looking for your first Power Walking Challenge?... Perhaps aiming for a new personal best?... Or even wanting a Half Marathon warm up to kick start your challenge season? Then this is the perfect event for you!

To successfully and comfortably complete this challenge, and to make the most of the atmosphere, you should be aiming for a pace of 15 - 16 minutes per mile and a maximum total challenge time of 3hrs 30 minutes. This is very achievable by following our Training Plan!

With limited spaces available, join the Walk the Walk Team today, and be loud and proud in all your bra glory in London town!

Joining the 2018 Team...

To enter this 1st time event and be part of the Walk the Walk Team, you can either apply for one of our Charity Places or get yourself a Ballot Place with The Big Half organisers.

We will be with you every step of the way, from your first day of registering with us, throughout your Training and at The Big Half itself; you will have your very own Cheer Team; cheering, hugging and high fiving you throughout the miles on the challenge!
