  1. What are the 2021 challenge costs?

    Please note... the information below is for 2020 but will give you an indication for 2021.

    The cost is based on 2 people sharing a twin room* and dormitories on the trail itself (single room not available).

    Challenge Deposit paid on Entry: £420 

     

    The cost of your package has been calculated in May 2020. Due to possible fluctuations in the exchange rate please be aware that should this increase above 3% we will have to pass on this cost to you. This is out of our control and something we will try to avoid.

    *In the event that the ratio of female/male applicants does not match the availability of twin rooms, a single room supplement will apply.

    This also includes protection by health and safety laws, trade description legislation, contract laws and package holidays regulations.

    • Travel Insurance
    • Meals on travel days 
    • Personal spending money including other drinks than those provided
    • Overseas registrations will incur additional postage and packaging charges

    At Walk the Walk if you excel in your fundraising, to thank you for your exceptional support we have created the ‘Money Back Scheme’, the more you fundraise the more Walk the Walk will refund your Tour costs. 

    Raise £2,500 and Walk the Walk will refund £520
    Raise £3,000 and Walk the Walk will refund £820
    Raise £4,000 and Walk the Walk will refund £1,220
    Raise £5,000 and Walk the Walk will refund £1,870
    Raise £6,000 and Walk the Walk will refund £2,520
    Raise £7,000 and Walk the Walk will refund £3,170

    If you would like to receive a refund of more than £1,000 this means you will be classed as a Professional Fundraiser under the Charities Act 1992, Section 60, and must complete this form within 14 days of your Challenge Registration. If you do not complete this form, the maximum that can be refunded is XXX

    Please note: the amount that can be refunded to any Walker is the total paid for the standard 5-night stay. This does not include the Deposit paid upon registration, insurance or personal spending.

  5. How can I pay?

    Please note... the information below is for 2020 but will give you an indication for 2021.

    There are 3 ways to pay:

    1. Pay in full when registering

    2. Pay the deposit followed by 2 instalments:

    • 7th September 2020
    • 30th November 2020

    Non Skiers - previous skiing experience is not necessary but you must achieve a minimum of a Level 4 certificate.

    Essential Kit 

    Please note not all downhill skiing equipment will be sufficient for the conditions. A full kit list will be provided, but if you need any guidance please get in touch with the Unique Challenge team who will be happy to help.

    Here's some of the kit:

    • High quality Ski Gloves or Mittens suitable for minus 15 conditions
    • Windproof trousers or ski trousers
    • Gortex windproof jacket
    • Down jacket or equal quality
    • Thermals/Base Layers
