  1. Thames Path Challenge Costs

    Every Walker will be required to pay a race entry fee to Action Challenge when registering for the Thames Path Challenge. Depending on what entry option you select,  depends on what registration fee you will need to pay:

    Charity Sponsorship Option:

    Race Entry + full fundraising:

    22/28km

    • £5 Entry Fee
    • £245 Fundraising 

    Mixed Funding Option:

    Race Entry + part fundraising:

    Self-Fund Option:

    What do you get from Thames Path Challenge organisers?

    • Access to the Thames Path Challenge online participants area
    • Event pack – timing chip and route map
    • Full event support – Marshals and Trek Leaders 
    • Fully signed route, with pink arrows during the day and glowsticks for the night sections
    • Aerobic warm up at the start!
    • Snacks/drinks at all the rest stops and hot meals at the 50km rest stop and the 100km Finish Line
    • Event medics at rest stops
    • Shuttle service for retirees at rest stops from 50km (the midpoint stop) onwards
    • A finisher's pack – with a 2021 challengers medal and T-shirt
    • Shuttle buses to the local Station

  2. Walk the Walk Costs

    There is an additional Walker Pack fee of £40.00 per Walker, payable to Walk the Walk and this includes 2 fully loaded Walker Packs.

    This fee is refundable depending on how much you raise. The Team will assist you throughout your journey with technique advice, nutritional guidance, training support, kit information and also assist with advice and support for fundraising. We send regular Team Update Emails to keep you updated on the Event details and top tips.

    Welcome Walker Pack includes:

    • Training and Safety Guide
    • 100km and 50km bespoke Thames Path Challenge Training Plan designed specifically for your challenge. 
    • Sponsor Form
    • High-vis beanie 
    • An invitation to a 25 mile group Training Walk in central London, led by Walk the Walk staff (subject to minimum numbers)

    Final Walker Pack includes:

    • A bespoke Thames Path Challenge Cap
    • 1 x Short-sleeved exclusive Thames Path Challenge bra T-shirt 
    • Arm warmers
    • Bra to decorate 
    • Space blanket
    • Weather protector
    • Plus lots of other Walk the Walk goodies

  3. How can I pay?

    Payment will need to be made by debit or credit card only, via the online entry forms, for both Walk the Walk and Thames Path Challenge.

  4. Refunds on Walker Pack Fee

    Charity Sponsorship: The minimum amount to be raised for the 100km is £595; for the Half Way option it is £395.

    If you exceed in your fundraising target and raise £800 or more for Walk the Walk by the final fundraising deadline then you will be eligible for a refund of the £40 Walker Pack Fee!

    Mixed Fundraising: The minimum amount to be raised for the 100km is £299; for the Half Way options it is £199

    If you exceed in your fundraising target and raise £600 or more for Walk the Walk by the final fundraising deadline then you will be eligible for a refund of the £40 Walker Pack Fee!
