Biggest fundraising challenge in the world

The Virgin Money London Marathon is the biggest fundraising challenge in the world and one that is on many peoples bucket list. Join 35,000 people who are lucky enough to take on this iconic annual challenge... could you be one of them? Held in the Capital, this Marathon takes you from Greenwich Park, through Tower Bridge, alongside the River Thames and finishing in the stunning Mall! The crowds and bands will keep you going and smiling through the 26.2 miles!

For 2017, Walk the Walk have very limited Charity Gold Bond Spaces available. To enter this Marathon there is a simple application process! This is the classic and very special Marathon and one not to be missed.

Ballot Places

If you are one of the very lucky ones who gets a Ballot place (results released in October 2016), you too can join the 2017 Team and Walk (or run) for Walk the Walk! All you need to do is complete the online registration form and become a member of the Team! For Ballot places there is no minimum fundraising amount, just join the Team, fundraise as much as you can and unite with us against breast cancer. 

Whether a Charity or Ballot place Challenger, you’ll be fully supported by our Walk the Walk Team every step of the way with training tips, kit hints and nutritional advice, Walker Packs, fundraising ideas, plus so much more.

 

Is this challenge for me?

This marathon is classed as a Footprint 2 and needs to be completed within a maximum finish time is 7 hours, with training and commitment this is certainly achievable and a largely flat course too. You should be aiming for 14-16 minute miles during your training to conquer the famous London Marathon.
